Turn Your Hobby Into Extra Income Before You Think "Career"

Many people get a big idea that they love to do something alot, so they are going to try to make a go of it as a career move. Then, they sink their life savings into it, exhaust all their savings, and then the buisness goes under leaving them with nothing. So why not just (if this is at all possible), go at it a little at a time? For example, I love woodworking. So my goal was to just start with a simple website on porch swings. But it didn't end their. I got everything together, put up another site using Search Engine Optimization techniques, and then went to building outdoor patio furniture. Next, it was Ebay, then Amazon. So what can you do?

Well, first of all, I would truly keep my dayjob until the buisness is in full swing AND gaining momentum. Get to the point where you cannot at all, absolutely without a doubt, handle both. But before you can get to that point, you have to do alot of research. I mean tons. My site didn't start off well. The need was there to make changes in order to cause the public to trust my product. So I had to experiment. Change the site up a little at a time until I get more orders. Now, what I liked about ebay was you can actually go in and see what Items are selling or not. But you have to be an ebay member before you can do this. Amazon does not give you this advantage, but you can still see what items they have and show some competition.

Most of all, what I think is best is find out what keywords are used on the internet the most. The keyword tool I think is best is located at keywordburner.com. It is 49 bucks a month, but just use it for one month, and get rid of it once you find out what keyword best fits your hobby and is searched for alot. Believe me, if it is searched for alot on the internet, it is undoubtedly searched for alot period.

Anyway that is what I have done, and I hope it works for you. Hope you at least can use it for some extra income, if not what you do for a living.
