How to Ask Single Women For Their Telephone Number

This week I want to discuss the best way to ask for a phone number from single women that you are attracted to.

I'm sure you can relate to this scenario: You've just met this really hot & sexy single woman that you'd give your left nut to go out with. You've made contact and you seem to be really hitting it off good. Then comes that awkward moment when it's time to part ways or for instance, closing time at a bar or nightclub. You are dying to see her again and you want her phone number.

Most guys simply say, "Can I have your phone number?" This is risky because she can simply say no or give you an excuse such as, she doesn't give her phone number out to strangers.

In my opinion, the best way to ask a girl for her phone number is to say, "I'd like to keep in touch with you. How can I reach you?" This is a friendly and non-pressured approach to asking for a phone number.

Now, let's talk about the dark side of asking single women for phone numbers. Don't be surprised if you get a phony phone number sometimes. It's nothing to lose any sleep over. It's just another form of rejection. And rejection is just part of the dating game, my friend.

Here's what I like to do to try to catch them in a lie when they are giving me their phone number:

  1. If I'm at a bar, nightclub, concert, party, etc. after I get their phone number, I will excuse myself and go to a telephone or pay phone and call the number she gave me. If it's a non-working number or someone answers and they never heard of her, then I know she gave me a phony number. Then I will go back to her and express my displeasure of giving me the runaround on giving me her phone number. Needless to say, I don't want anything to do with her after playing games with my head.

  2. Here's another good way to catch them in a lie: Always carry a pen and piece of paper with you. When she tells you her phone number, write it down. Then immediately say, "I think I have this wrong, what was that phone number again?" If it's different from the original number she gave you, then I would be suspicious about her trying to give you a phony number.
