The Fire That Burns

For most of my life I did business in the corporate world. I was circumscribed by rules that did not make sense to me and managed by people that I did not particular like But this was the life of the corporate world.

Coming from a poor family I had to struggle to make any advancement in life. I would jump at the opportunity to show my boss a new idea that I had to that would make the job easier or faster. In the beginning I would be rewarded for that ability to think outside the box, but it was just a matter of time before that same thinking would be my downfall.

A funny thing about the corporate life is the better you get the more others wanted to get rid you. Your allegiance to your boss will only be rewarded if he does not find you a threat. After a while I found that my boss was getting rewarded for many of the projects that I did. I was no longer getting the adulations that I once did.

Even though I had gone higher on the rung of success than I had thought I would, for the first time in my life I felt like my job was in jeopardy. I was always looking over my shoulder for someone who pretended to be my friend to stab me in the back.

I've always felt control of my life but for the first time starting my own business, getting the reward for the work I did was more important than any status of the corporate world. I than realized I had grown into an entrepreneur.

Some people may say that to be an entrepreneur you need to be organized, or a big picture type person, others feel you must have the personality to be aggressive in business. I think all of these things are important but the one thing that I feel all entrepreneurs have in common is the will to a take control of their own life.

Not every entrepreneur want to be a millionaire, some only want to live comfortable, others just want to ensure a secure retirement. But the one thing that ever entrepreneur needs, is to be in control of his/her own life

You can learn organization there are many companies on the internet that teaches you the skills needed to become success. You can get money, yes it takes money to make money but just because you dont have any right now is not a problem You can develop the ability to be motivated into action but unless you have the right skills and knowledge that means nothing either.

The one ingredient that must burn deep into your heart like an eternal flame is the desire to be in control of your own life. That burning to be in control of your own life is the only ingredient of an entrepreneur that can not be taught. It is the rabbit in hasenfeffer stew.
