Non-Lethal Homing Dart for Tracking UAVs

We are rapidly reaching a new paradigm of warfare one, which will be fought by robotic warriors instead of flesh and blood. This will mean a redesigning of current tactics. For instance sometimes it makes more sense to follow your enemy than to kill them, especially when your enemy is a robotic unmanned aerial autonomous vehicle doing surveillance. It is essential to find and destroy the command and control component of your enemies net-centric system. By following the UAV to the launch point may provide some of this information and thus enable us to send in a single mission UAV or missile to take out that location to prevent future launches of robotic units from that point.

Investigators often do this with suspects, catch and release method. Release a drug dealer and then follow them to continue the investigations. This is not a new tactic, just new to the future of robotic warfare. I propose to use small rocket powered darts, which will stick into the skin of a robotic UAV and then decompose upon landing, as to not alert the enemy that you have homed in their launch point. By using this method we can follow surveillance UAVs or reconnaissance plane to track them. I propose using a small rocket system based on the air-to-air missile stinger type missiles on a miniature type basis and to over shoot the UAVs and hit them from the top where they do not have very good eyes and stick them there, thus enabling a good line of sight feed from Satellite tracking system. The dart itself can be very small and barely noticeable. Think on this.
